Silent Hill made a successful comeback last year with Bloober Team’s excellent remake of Silent Hill 2, and the series’ next major step forward will soon also be receiving more details. Konami has announced a new Silent Hill Transmission livestream for this Thursday, March 13, at 3 PM PDT, where the company says it will “uncover Silent Hill f.”
Little is known about Silent Hill f, the next mainline instalment in Konami’s beloved psychological horror series. Announced in 2022, it is being co-developed by Konami and NeoBards Entertainment, and will be the first game in the series to not be set in the titular town of Silent Hill, instead taking place in a rural Japanese town in the 1960s.
Silent Hill f tells a story written by Ryukishi07, and features character and creature design by Japanese artist Kera. When the game will launch, what platforms it will be available for, or what we can expect from its core gameplay remains to be seen, but presumably we’ll find out soon.
Whether other new Silent Hill titles will also be announced, or if we can expect new details on the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall, remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates.
